Alison Crofton Joins Future Homes Hub Board, Bringing Strategic Leadership Across Housing, Regeneration and Sustainability.

The Future Homes Hub is delighted to announce the appointment of Alison Crofton, Chief Property Officer at Homes England, to its Board of Directors. Alison brings over two decades of senior experience across residential development, regeneration, and property strategy, and holds influential roles as a Board Member of the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) and Director of the English Cities Fund.

The Future Homes Hub was established to facilitate the collaboration needed within and beyond the homebuilding sector to meet the UK’s legally binding net zero and wider environmental goals. Working closely with homebuilders, supply chains, infrastructure, finance and government, the Hub develops practical solutions to regulatory change, coordinates industry-wide implementation, and aligns the sector on long-term sustainability targets.

In her role at Homes England, Alison leads on the strategic management and development of the agency’s land and property portfolio to unlock sustainable housing growth, champion regeneration, and drive innovation in delivery. She has previously served as National Development Director and Development Director at Homes England, following senior roles at Redrow. Alison’s appointment will further strengthen the Hub’s leadership as it works with the sector to deliver high-quality, low-carbon, climate-resilient homes at scale.

Ed Lockhart, Chief Executive of the Future Homes Hub, said:

“Alison brings a unique blend of public and private sector leadership, a deep understanding of the housing market, and a proven track record in delivering complex regeneration and development programmes. Her insights will be invaluable as the Hub supports the sector to meet net zero, enhance quality, and create thriving, sustainable communities.”

Alison Crofton, Future Homes Hub Board Member, said:

“The Hub plays a vital role in uniting the industry and government to deliver the homes we need in a way that benefits people, places and the planet. I’m looking forward to working with fellow Board members to help shape the sector’s response to the challenges and opportunities ahead.”

The Hub’s Board plays a critical role in aligning the Hub’s work with government ambition, industry capability and the urgent need to address climate and environmental challenges.
