The Future Homes Conference 2026 comes at a pivotal time for the housing sector.

Delivering high-quality homes and places at pace and scale continues to rise up the political agenda. However, there are multiple challenges that need to be resolved, including viability and affordability pressures, if the sector is to unlock sustainable growth.

This year's conference will focus on building the partnerships between homebuilders, central government, mayoral authorities, local authorities, housing associations, the supply chain and financial institutions, while sharing the practical solutions and collaborative approaches needed to unlock sustainable growth.

Plenary sessions will set out the Government’s housing goals under a new Prime Minister, the latest assessment of how new homes and places are performing and what we know about the long-term plan.

Key topics, subject to refinement, include:

  1. New Homes Sector Transition Plan – the long-term roadmap for sustainable homes and places.
  2. Future Homes Standard Ready – designing for customers and de-risking delivery.
  3. Valuation and lending – working in partnership to capture the value of better-performing homes.
  4. Grid connections – securing timely and efficient connections.
  5. Wastewater and water supply – enabling housing delivery through resilient infrastructure.
  6. Preparing for a changing climate – building for hotter, drier summers.
  7. Design, placemaking and adoption – creating places that deliver efficiency, quality and customer value.
  8. Resource and construction efficiency – practical approaches to delivering more with less.

Plenary speakers will include Jennie Daly, Chair of the Future Homes Hub, and Amy Rees, Chief Executive of Homes England. Government, mayoral authority and local authority speakers will be announced in the early autumn to reflect the latest roles, priorities and policy developments.

Alongside the plenary programme, delegates will be able to choose from a series of specialist breakout sessions exploring the key technical, commercial and policy issues facing the sector in greater depth.

The conference exhibition will showcase the latest technologies, products and innovations supporting the delivery of the Future Homes Standard and improving the performance, quality and sustainability of new homes.

The Future Homes Conference 2026 will provide a unique opportunity to hear from industry leaders, share practical experience, discover innovative solutions and build the partnerships needed to accelerate the delivery of better homes and communities.
