David Campbell joins the Future Homes Hub Board

It is The Future Homes Hub is delighted to announce the appointment of David Campbell, Chief Operating Officer of NHBC, to its Board.
David joined NHBC in January 2020 and was appointed to the main Board in April that year. As Chief Operating Officer of NHBC, the UK’s leading independent provider of warranty and insurance for new homes, he holds overall responsibility for the Commercial and Operations teams – from Inspection and Technical, to Business Development and Marketing & Communications - bringing a focus on customer service and value whilst maintaining rigorous quality standards.
With over 30 years’ experience in the homebuilding industry, David brings with him a wealth of knowledge on technical standards, customer engagement and the skills needed to deliver better homes at scale. Before joining NHBC, he spent eight years on the main board of London developer Telford Homes plc and has also held senior director and regional managing director roles at major residential and mixed-use developers including the Berkeley Group, Barratt Developments and Wilson Bowden Developments. His track record of working at board level with the UK’s largest builders means he is uniquely placed to support the Hub’s mission of helping the sector navigate rapid change.
David’s appointment strengthens the Hub’s governance at a crucial moment. The Future Homes Hub Business Plan 2025–2028 sets out a clear focus on scaling up delivery of the Future Homes Standard, embedding sustainability metrics, reducing embodied carbon, and ensuring that new homes and places are consistently low-carbon, nature-rich, resilient and high-quality.
Speaking about his appointment, David said:

David’s role on the Board will support the Hub’s wider efforts to bring the whole homebuilding community together under a shared Delivery Plan. His appointment reflects the Hub’s commitment to creating consistency, coherence and collaboration across the sector - ensuring the industry can build trust with customers, regulators and communities while delivering the scale of change needed to meet the UK’s climate and environmental goals.
